from my understanding of this piece, the only time you need to have it equipped is when you summon your wyvern, when you zone, dismiss.

tests have shown that 2 traits (not to be confused with JA's) can be transferred to your wyvern (ie store tp and zanshin for /sam)

amazing solo piece. pair this with boxer's, barone head, af hands+1, and tomoe and u have 282 parrying if your capped(Better than A+ parrying!). The add support jobs ability is neat as well. :D
