Baby Haubergeon :) While not an essential piece of equipment, it is definitely the best body armor for any job that can equip it till the real Haubergeon.
It offers status boosts that are hard to find at this level, and it gives them in all the right places. Definitely worth it if you can afford it.
This offers much more than the Brigandine +1 does for any job that can wear the Luisant Haubert. Not only does it give two STR, but 3 accuracy and 3 attack as well. Who cares about -EVA when you're likely not going to be so stupid as to solo in this piece anyways? Not to mention that 2-handers get even more out of this than dual-wielders... (2STR/DEX, 5ACC, 5ATT totals)
This by far is better than the Brigandine +1, and is worth the price to me.
lol totally. For the jobs that can wear this they have no need for brigandine+1 this is far better. yeah maybe it offers more stats but this is whitout doubt a melee DD body and they have no need for INt or CHR and them stats. this is hella expencive if not it should be a must have^^
I don't deny this is an excellent piece of kit, the best there is for its level (In fact I own a full set myself...).
However, with the introduction of the Iron Ram gear, this really isn't worth it unless you have money lying around that you just don't need...
Iron Ram body is a fraction of the price at around 15k, and can be worn by all the same jobs. It gives +2 DEX and even has slightly higher DEF at 32, with no -STATS. To top all of that, there is only 14 mid-range levels between this and the Hauby, so you wont be wearing it very long anyway.
Great if you've got the cash, but for everyone else who isn't a multi-millionaire, you just don't need it.
yes you might only use it for 14... hell even 10 levels, still its worth it if you got the gil for it, remember... you CAN resell it, but for all those people saying "you will replace it, its not worth it".... have you even considered cap gear? i dont really know, there might be better pieces, but personally, i think its perfect for lv 50 restricted events.
