Actually what Tatsumi says has been shown to be true. I am a crafter and have watched several markets that at one point or another (and some markets still) are run by RMTs. Whenever a price change occurs, 90% of the time, it is due to another player. The RMTs only follow suite and put it up for the price that other players are selling it at. If someone else sells it for a lower price, they do the same. If someone sells it for a higher price, they do the same. Only rarely do they try to gouge the prices on their own (which is the 10%). I've noticed this trend on Archer Rings when they dropped from Stroper Chyme and I noticed it again on Amemet skins. If you follow the markets in which the sales happen quickly, you'll see the same trend i'm sure.
Well, although I hate RMT too they will be the ones that let the price on these finally stabilize. It is the legit players that actually tend to gouge people on prices more than the RMT do. RMT try to sell fast and lower the price to get it to do so. Even though I hate RMT I welcome these to drop price.
"Well, although I hate RMT too they will be the ones that let the price on these finally stabilize."
Yeah, but then its only 'stable' because its controlled - by them (RMT).
Just look at woodsman rings and astral rings history on multiple servers. Every few months RMT "adjust" the price down, then up.
They will push price down to kill the profits of others or to stockpile an item. Then jack the price up when it benefits them to do so. They just aren't as obvious as the players who try and manipulate things.
Ideal WS hands for 1 hit STR based attacks like Steel Cyclone for WAR or Y/G/K for SAM.
Not as good for multihit WS like Penta or Guillotine because of the loss of DEX, but viable until replaced with other hands that give STR + DEX, atk, or acc (Hecatomb Mittens, O. Kote, etc.)
RMT aren't an issue for the prices they post items for... RMT are an issue because players who buy gil from RMTs are more likely to pay whatever is wanted for the items they're after. They're the reason the real players can get away with price gouging. Proof behind this market issue is that the markets DROPPED drastically from what they were 4-5 years ago, when RMT were everywhere. Now that they're getting banned all the time, the prices are falling, because players don't have as much money floating around that they didn't have to work hard in-game to earn, and thus are more careful in how it's spent.
Well as far as RMT goes for these. Haven't seen any when I went up. And even if they have, I've soloed Alky on THF alot and he can knock your *** down sometimes. And even if they manage to kill it, drop rate can be dreadful. But g/l with your alky^^
