I've never understood why people get so upset over undercutting. Its basic economics... its market correction. When supply gets alot higher than demand sellers will drop their prices to move the product. It happens everywhere in real life. The exact same principal applies when an item goes UP in value 100k in one sale. I don't see too many people complaining about that.
Marootsoobutsu is right, that the nature of the AH mechanics causes undercutting. He however neglects the buyer when he declares it "helps no one", it does help the buyer because they can now spend saved gil on other items, by proxy this helps other sales as well. Undercutting is a good thing. He also seems to want to attempt to create some sort of a cabal of people who refuse to lower their prices in the face of market forces.. that's pretty laughable.

Well, if you're out of touch, Dex is theorized at this time to have a direct effect upon ACC and critical hit rate. The acc theory suggests that 2 dex = 1 acc, unless you're using a two handed weapon, in which case 4 dex = 3 acc. Player dex checks against monsters Agi for crit rate, so higher dex will raise crit rate.
Agi is theorized to affect RACC, and possibly dodge related skills.
So, as anyone can see, these boots are extremely valuable to DD, especially at the very low level they can be equipped. Get these, because they will make a difference.
Izuul it's because people don't exercise any intelligence when they put items up. There will be 2 items up, so instead of a slight undercut, they drop the price 10-30% so they can get money 2 hours faster setting a downward trend. This market can't fix itself because not enough intelligent ppl have a hand it.
When you want to use the Price History for reference, please do the following things for your own good.
1) Expand it and see all last 25 entries. You'll usually see some IDs several times.
2) Click on those names and you'll understand what they are up to.

What you're failing to think of Izuul is the disturbing number of people that grossly undercut when there is no need for it. A perfect example happened to me just two days ago selling Teleport-Vahzl. I had the only copy up, average price was 120k. Someone else puts a copy up for 80k and it sells. No reason when there is ONE other person to drop the price, let alone by a third of it's value.
I agree about undercutting for the most part. Only problem is that dumb people do it on things you don't need to. These people will not wait a day for things to sell, let alone wait an hour. Sadly if you don't undercut a lot of times you end up with stuff sent back to your inbos for lack of a sale because some clowns undercut something that sells 20 per day when there is 10 on the AH.
