Trial of Magian
Hmmm, hopefully that's all it is then, I'd hate to get the better of the two, and then find out somewhere down the line that it's actually kinda shitty... But yeh, I guess if there's a massive HNM involved in one compared to crap you can solo in the other, it kinda makes sense.
I know how odd it is to put "SE" and "makes sense" together.

Of course it's a trap! Don't fall for it!
I think it's kinda awesome though. Alot of it you can kinda do in your own time, and you don't need an 'event ls' or some bs like that. And it's freeee! Carbuncle.Macc

Does anyone know the Occ. Atk. Twice rate on the Magian weapons? Would it be worth my time to try and get the Magian Club or stick with Prudence Rod?
Don't think testing has been done on them yet and posted. Tbh I'd probably get a more dmging one mainhand with double attack one offhand depending on the difference in dmg between them

DMG: 40 Delay: 240~
Occ. Atk. Twice Joytoy is better due to lower delay but the tree isn't finished. Ramuh.Krizz said: Odin.Blazza said: There's one thing I don't get here, and I'll open the floor for interpretation. Each type of weapon has two different double attack choices. Using sword as an example you have: (total stats) DMG: 40 Delay: 266 - occasionally attacks twice or DMG: 23 Delay: 264 - occasionally attacks twice No I dunno about you guys, but I'm pretty damn sure which one I'd take, and it's the same for every weapon type, so it makes me wonder, what if these aren't the final forms at all? Perhaps when the next Magian update is released these weapons will be able to be upgraded further. This means that whatever path follows off the lower DMG of the two weapons could turn out to be a much better option. What do you all think? Why would you have the choice between the two when they're so far different in damage and have no other stats? I agree with you that there's a chance for that. However, I also think that SE wanted to give options for those that prefer solo play or don't have huge groups for the new NMs. It's not even an option, that DMG rating would slash output so much it wouldn't be worth it. Joytoy is probably better for rdm using enspell, but don't forget that higher delay means higher tp per swing, and 240 really isn't that high a delay.

...Just hope I can get the one I would like..I need to read up more on it. ( I will once I'm done getting the stuff done first). Joyeuse has better DPS than Antea... lower weapon rank, yes, but fSTR cap aside the DoT is better assuming equal proc rate. The margin isn't huge though, ~3.2%.
Whoops forgot to check the delay and actually used the 240 someone said up htere lol.
@ Nightfyre: more importantly though, blu can't use joyeuse.

The obvious choice for a new main hand weapon would be the fully upgraded Culacula, but whether or not the Goedendag could give me better TP and dmg than Prudence Rod would decide my new sub. Will this Occ. Atk. Twice proc with Double Attack? If not, then the Prudence Rod may still hold its place as the best option for a sub for people who cannot afford Mjollnir and a K Club.
If all else fails I'll just have to get both myself and test this out! Thanks regardless. @_@ wooooo! Just finished the first trial for my Mjollnir! Yay DMG: +2 n_n but fk it's time to sleep after grinding for half a day straight... x_x

Doesn't help with Relics or the Max Damage tiers, since those are NM hunts or related to the Relic Weapon skill, but still much less painless looking for "EP+" mobs with certain weather conditions up. I'm on stage 2 katana atm, lumbering lambert x3 anyone? then deadly dodo times 3. /sigh
