Adding Linkshells
Linkshells are being assigned to characters using Guildwork plugin. As of right now, this is the only reliable method to get your linkshells assigned to your character.
The plugin does this automatically, no extra action is needed. I thought I noticed something different when I was checking profiles.
I have a bunch of old social pearls that i noticed pop up today from this. If I drop all these pearls will guildwork update and remove them all? Because I rather not have all these ls's show up on my page lol

I guess this is also why I dropped 30 ranks, for some reason? :(
I have an invalid LS URL. Does the guildwork plugin bypass this?
I've got a few linkshells that I don't use showing up on my profile. I don't see any way to change this.

went from rank 25 to 106 wtf..
I think what happened is that Scragg had changed the scanning algorithm to no longer cut-off 'old scans' from inactive characters from the ranking calculations.
For the changes made to implement the GW Linkshell functionality, apparently he re-implemented (intentionally or not) those characters into the rankings that had old scan dates (like "1 month ago", "15 months ago", etc.) as part of the DB sweep, I would guess, as the Linkshell groups update themselves. Since LSs are now being updated via GW's system. Offline

How to remove a whole bunch of inactive Linkshells that have been long ago tossed away but still show up on FFXIAH?

Having Guildwork pull the linkshells we currently own is a good idea, but we should have control over our profile page displaying only what we wish to display. The Linkshell page could have a checkbox by each linkpearl, giving the user the option to show the Linkshells they wish to display on their profile page. This is only temporary from what I'm guessing since he says

The suggestion sounds good for a checkbox, hopefully it doesnt make too much a hassle since he's already busy with rl stuff as it is. Diabolos.Hamburgersteak said: » Bad idea... Please get rid of this. good thing it's not up to you. I agree, I like the idea of it pulling LS info from guildwork. But having a check box system to display which ls's you want is a good idea.

Having an old, old, social showing up, but not my LS that I'm the shellholder for. Anyone know how I can correct this?

Sometimes I don't know how Scragg doesn't just remove ffxiah rankings, or makes the top 100 selling ah items' prices invisible just out of spite. Not that I'm an angel, but still. The reason this post is even up is because Square Enix still doesnt have Linkshell Community up and running yet. There is no other way to update or add Linkshells at this point in time. Its either something or nothing. At least Scragg has some way to add linkshells. He could just say, oh well and call it a day.
At least show some gratitude. I personally think all that Scragg has done with this site is amazing and thank him for all he does on a daily/weekly basis with this site. If he tore this down, I bet everyone would cry. I know I would. Offline
