Dragon scales KCNM is somewhat difficult if you don't have the correct setup for it. There's two dragons, one's a shadow type, one's a dahak. The shadow is a warrior and will use mighty strikes, and the dahak is a thief and will use perfect dodge.
Now the hard part comes when you decide which dragon to kill first. If you decide to take down the THF first, then the WAR will gain an insane amount of attack boost the lower the hp of the THF is. The WAR critted my RDM mule for 800+ when the THF was only @70%. His crits did about 170 to my BLU/WAR at that point in the fight.
If you kill the WAR first, then the THF gains an insane evasion boost. It makes it pretty much impossible to hit him except with SA/TA of course.
Neither dragon can be slept with dark or light based sleep (tried both), nor can they be gravitied or bound. I'm not positive on this, but I don't think the dahak can be silenced either to prevent nullsong.
So, with that said, there's two different strats you can use. Obviously, if you kill the war first, which will be much easier at least for the start of the fight considering holding the THF mob is fairly easy, then you will need either a bunch of /thf people or some mages to nuke the THF down and kill it (after WAR is dead). I "think" the dahak has movement speed so don't plan on kiting him. RDM/NIN or BLU would be probably be your best bet for killing the dahak. The dahak is much weaker in terms of his physical attacks. Was actually able to get him to hit for 0 with phalanx and BLU/WAR. I assume regurgitation would do good damage to him and you won't have to worry about pulling hate from your tank who won't be able to hit the mob at all :|.
Now if you kill the THF first, which is much faster, but more dangerous, then you will absolutely need a tank with shadows to hold the WAR. I assume once the THF is dead, the WAR will pretty much one-shot anything. The good thing about this strat is you don't have to worry about your dd's as much, as long as they are /nin. Accuracy won't be an issue.
Overall, I'd recommend two "tanks" or at least two people who can each hold one of the dragons. Do NOT attempt to supertank them as they will both use tp moves simultaneously when the other 2-hours. Mighty strikes > nullsong is not good. Space them far enough apart so the whole party doesn't get hit. Take down WAR first (IMO) and then nuke the THF down to win. Note that you will need some sort of a tank that can hold hate without actually hitting the mob, unless you enter with an army of RDM/NINs. In that case, just bounce hate back and forth for an easy win.
Edit: Calmecac trousers are from this KCNM btw, not Shell Shocked.
