A-hoy! I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on this NM?

I've read the wiki testimonials, but I would like more before I pop it.
What kind of set up did you use? How many people? Gear/atma info etc.
Thanks.

Fought a couple times. Found the spikes to not be nearly as potent as showed in the SS, although I don't recall why/what made them activate and do more damage. Evasion tanked fine on NIN. Had 4 people, just a standard abyssea NM.

Standard abyssea NM that keeps you in stun lock if you attack fast. This guy is a joke if you have nukers. Pain in the *** to anyone melee'ing. Fighting him on monk was just irritating. Constantly stunned from spikes.

MNK/WAR w/ a dual-boxed WHM/BLM, and a BLM for grellow. It's been a while since I fought him, but when I did I fought him enough times to get 18 cards.

Monk: I used Impreg.tower, Razed Ruins, and Gnarled Horn. Gear: Mix of DD/tank/MDB gear. (*Twilight torque/shadow ring/dark ring w/ -%MDT)

WHM: Normaly magey gear, Allure,MM,and Ambition atmas. I chose Ambition for the small extra refresh.

Not sure what the BLM used as far as Atmas go but its pretty straight forward imo.

The main thing to make sure is your mage keeps Barthunder up at all times. His Shock spikes are NOT dispellable and they DO stun you at a good rate-

This sums it up: He can be low-manned w/ a good tank w/ a decent magic set. Kill him before he kills you deal. The longer he was alive, the more dmg his spikes did to me. At the start I would end up taking around 17 dmg per punch from his spikes, towards the end around 72 per punch; and a few times he's done 107 per punch. or maybe... the lower his HP gets.. the more his spikes do. Either way, happy hunting :)

Yep, I duo'd with WHM before the servers were down. He wasn't hard. Just make sure you have barthunder. I think it's very simple to Ketea, but just different. He's extremely easy.
